    Chef's pro tip

Allow the eggs and cream cheese to come to room temperature before using them. This ensures a smoother batter consistency. After the brownie is cooked, allow it to cool completely before slicing to achieve clean, neat portions.

What to serve with chocolate mint brownies?

The homemade mint brownies taste great when you pair them with these options:

    • Cottage Cheese Ice Cream: The creaminess of cheese ice cream complements the rich chocolate flavor of the brownies, providing a cool contrast.
    • Fresh Keto Cobbler: A tarty cobbler made of fresh berries like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries adds a fresh, tangy flavor to the brownies.
    • Pistachio Butter: Drizzle pistachio butter over the brownies for a nutty flavor that pairs well with chocolate.
Mint brownies in shades of green and brown are presented on a round wooden board, accompanied by additional brownies of the same kind cooling on a wire rack.

    How to make it healthier?

    • Opt for unsalted butter in the batter to lower the sodium content in the brownies.
    • Use organic ingredients like eggs and cream cheese if possible.

    Time-saving tips

    • Use a handheld mixer at medium speed to mix the batter. It's faster and more efficient than hand mixing.

What can I prepare ahead of time?

    • Take the eggs and cream cheese from the refrigerator beforehand to bring them to room temperature. It will help in making the batter consistent.

    Storage and reheating instructions

    • Refrigeration: Store the leftover brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
    • Freezer. Wrap individual slices in cling film and store them in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.

    Frequently asked questions

To check if your brownie is cooked, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean with only a few moist crumbs, know that the brownies are cooked.

For a refreshing treat, we recommend serving the brownies chilled. The minty flavor often shines through more when the brownies are cold.

Brownies typically need to cool for about 1 to 2 hours after baking. This allows them to firm up and attain the desired texture. However, the exact time may vary based on the recipe, situation, and personal preference.

Traditional brownies made with flour, sugar, and butter are high in calories. But alternatives like keto brownies offer lower-calorie options.

Are you sure about 31 carbs per serving? That seems high for the ingredients used, and would be a no-go for my low carb diet. Otherwise this looks great!
