Keto Cube Steak with Gravy

Ingredients
For the cube steaks
- 4 cube steaks or minute steaks about 4 ounces each
- 2 tablespoons almond flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter
For the steak seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Swerve brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
For the keto gravy
- ¼ cup cold water
- 3 tablespoons almond flour
- 1 ounce cream cheese softened
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large yellow onion diced
Instructions
Make the steak seasoning mix
- In a small bowl, combine the Swerve brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Give it a good stir and set aside.
Make the keto gravy mix
- Combine the almond flour and cold water in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Add the cream cheese, beef broth, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk to combine and set aside.
Cook the steaks
- Rub the seasoning mix on both sides of each steak. Lightly cover the steaks with almond flour.
- Pour two tablespoons of olive oil into a large cast-iron skillet. Set it to medium-high heat.
- Cook two steaks at a time, about 5 minutes on each side. Then take them out and let them rest.
- Melt some butter in the pan. Add the diced onion, stirring often for 3-5 minutes.
- Pour in your gravy mixture. Stir well and bring it to a boil. Turn down the heat to let it simmer.
- Put the steaks back in the pan with any juices. Spoon gravy on top, and cover the skillet partly. Cook for five more minutes or until the gravy is thick and the steaks are cooked how you like.
- Put the cube steaks on plates, and they're ready to eat!
