Add one tablespoon of the oil to 10.5” or larger cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the oil, once hot sear the sausage rounds for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add in the turnips and spices. Cook 7-10 minutes stirring occasionally until a for easily pierces the turnips and they are crisp and golden on the outside.
Add the onion to the turnips and cook for 3 minutes until it starts to soften.
Return the sausages to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through. Sprinkle with cheese, allow to melt then top with green onions and parsley before serving.
