- 2 tablespoons avocado oil, divided – 2 Beef and Cheddar Kiolbassa Smoked Sausages. cut into rounds – 1 large turnip peeled and diced - ¾ teaspoon sea salt - ½ teaspoon smoked paprika - ½ teaspoon garlic powder - ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper - ¼ onion diced - ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Add one tablespoon of oil to a 10.5" or larger cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Once the skillet is hot, add the sausage rounds and sear them for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
Once they've browned, remove them and set them aside.
Add in the turnips and spices and cook for 7 to 10 minutes. You'll know they're ready when a fork easily pierces through them.
Add the onion to the turnips and cook for 3 minutes until it softens.
Return the sausages to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese and allow it to melt.
Top with green onion and parsley before serving.
