- 1 batch of keto dinner rolls (12 rolls)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large egg
- ½ tablespoon garlic salt
- ½ tablespoon black pepper
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes with basil
Step 1: Prepare the keto dinner rolls from your recipe, making 12 large rolls instead of 24. Once cooled, remove the rolls as one piece from the skillet, then slice in half horizontally.
In a large bowl, mix together the beef, egg, garlic salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese until well combined. Shape the mixture into 24 meatballs.
Heat olive oil in the skillet and fry the meatballs for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned. Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the meatballs and sauce, and set aside.
Wipe the skillet clean and replace the bottom halves of the rolls. Layer with meatballs and sauce, then add sliced cheese and the top halves of the rolls.
