This gift guide is sponsored by our friends at KetoKrate, thank you for supporting the brands that make CIK possible!
This year’s holiday celebration may look a bit different, maybe you’re gifting from afar, maybe this year purchasing gifts doesn’t align with your priorities, or maybe you’re looking to make a donation in place of gifts. Regardless, we wanted to feature some of our favorite items across all budgets and some easy ways to give back and make a difference. Hopefully, we’ll spark some inspiration in your gift-giving endeavor!
We’re all about functional gifts here at CIK so that’s what you’ll see below. We’re minimalists and always trying to streamline our life and the products we choose to bring into our homes.
For the Keto Foodie
WHO WANTS SNACKS?!
We absolutely love KetoKrate’s snack subscription box service! Each month a box filled with the best low-carb and keto-friendly snacks will magically appear on your doorstep. What could be better than that? This gift would be perfect for the keto folks in your life! $39.99/month [shop here]
THE BEST ALL-PURPOSE SAUCE
The year we spent in Portland, we fell in love with Nong’s! We were so stoked that they started offering their gluten-free sauce on Amazon so we can still get our fix. While the traditional way to use this sauce is to serve it with the traditional chicken and rice dish, this sauce is great in stir-frys and drizzled on steamed veggies. There are a million more ways to use it but those two are our go-to. $16.99 [shop here]
DRIZZLE, DUNK & TOSS
That’s how you’ll want to use this luscious 100% organic Koroneiki olive oil! Koroneiki olives are unusually rich in polyphenol and oleocanthal creating a very low-acidity oil that goes well with everything. A true workhorse in the kitchen! $40 [shop here]
SAVE ON GROCERIES!
2020 has come with a lot more cooking and in turn more $$$ at the grocery store. We recently started using Misfits Market for organic produce and pantry staples and it is AMAZING. Each week you pick what you’d like in your box and it lands on your doorstep on your preferred day. Score! Plans starting at $22 [sign up here]
LET’S GET SALTY
From the makers of our favorite salt EVER, Jacobsen Salt Co. teamed up with Stumptown Coffee to create this flaky coffee infused sea salt that is insanely delicious on meats (especially steak), desserts (including anything chocolate), or fun sauces like mole. Perfect for the coffee lover in your life! $14 [shop here]
Of course, we couldn’t have a gift guide without including an awesome cast iron skillet! We love our FINEX skillet and use it pretty much daily. Skillets start at $120 [shop here]

Most of us aren’t going to gyms right now so it’s more important that ever to get your workout on at home. We love our Peloton ($1,895) and have been adoring the be.come project classes ($35/month)! Next on our list of building out our home gym is a Tonal System ($2,995) and an Ergatta Rower ($2,199).
to Give Back + do good
Currently, 26 million Americans don’t have enough food to eat. This is blasphemous. Food should be a human right. Until that happens, giving to organizations like Feeding America helps feed your neighbors and we’re not sure what’s more important than that. [donate here]
Without water, there is no life. Charity: Water has been close to our hearts for years. One day we’d love to completely sponsor a well project. 100% of donations go straight to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. [donate here]
We’re eating at home now more than ever and with that comes a lot of food waste. We use CompostNow, a service that picks up our bucket of food scraps each week and in turn, gives us compost back depending on how much food we diverted. How awesome is that?! While CompostNow is only available in the Raleigh-Durham (Triangle), Asheville, Atlanta, and Charleston areas, we bet you can find a similar service where you are! Just Google “compost pick-up (your location here)” and see what pops up!
For a Fun time At home
Piecework Puzzles are so stunning they’ll double as artwork if you’d like. We dig this Game Night Trio. $94 [shop here]

SEE THE STARS!
We’re huge space nerds here at CIK and we adore this Dobsonian Telescope that will let you see the moon in all her glory as well as detailed observations of planets, and still reach out past our solar system to discover deep-sky subjects such as nebulae, globular clusters, and galaxies. So fun! $1,335 [shop here]
BRING THE STARS TO YOU!
For when it’s cloudy, you can bring the stars to you! We use this in our loft on the star function at the lowest setting at night and it’s so soothing! $49.99 [shop here]
